Cryptos dominates sporting weekend!

This weekend was extra special for all crypto loving sports fans as a clean sweep by two players sponsored by Wise Cryptos managed to take home both of the titles on offer at this weekends PDC Players Championships Tournaments.

Ryan Searle started the weekend off in spectacular fashion by defeating Premier League players Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith, Glenn Durrant and 3 other top players before beating world number 1 Michael van Gerwen in the Final to claim his maiden PDC ranking tournament!

“I just can’t believe it, It’s extra special to beat Michael in the final, it’s a dream.

I’ve been practicing a lot in my little man cave back home and playing out scenarios in my head – playing Michael in a final was one of them.

When you get these chances you just have to take the opportunity and thankfully I did today” – Ryan Searle

Following on from Searle’s exploits was Polish number 1 Krzysztof Ratajski who smashed the entire field with some huge averages including beating Danny Noppert 7-2 in the semi final before winning a nail biting final 8-7 versus Ian White.

“This tournament was sometimes lucky for me, I won a few games 6-5 and I survived match darts twice.

But then I played very well with averages over 100 and I feel very comfortable with the new darts I am playing with.

I hope this will be my best season. Last season was brilliant and I hope this one will be even better.” – Krzysztof Ratajski

Aside from their 2 rankings titles wins, earlier in the week Ryan Searle qualified for the European Championships to be held in Hasselt, Belgium where Rataijski is the number 5 seed – they will join 2 other Wise Cryptos sponsored pro’s, Luke Woodhouse and Callan Rydz who also both qualified for the event.

And to cap off a perfect week for Wise Cryptos players, young Carter Guiney – who only turned 16 in January – made the trip over to Scotland for the WDF/BDO Scottish Open and despite this being his debut in a Mens tournament, still managed to win his first 2 rounds!
